A full range of tree surgery —
no job too big or too small.
Domestic and commercial, across Bristol and the Southwest. The list below is the work we do most weeks; if yours isn't on it, call and ask — we almost certainly do that too.
- 01
Tree Pruning
The bulk of our work. Target-pruned cut by cut so the tree stays healthy and the finished job looks deliberate — our stated speciality, approached like a sculptor.
- 02
Tree Removal
Sometimes the only option. We'll talk you through the decision and deal with the local authority on your behalf where necessary, then take it down safely.
- 03
Hedge Trimming
A good hedge is a trimmed hedge. At least once a year for form and health — reduced, reshaped and kept tight to a clean line.
- 04
Stump Grinding
Once the tree is down, grind the stump below grade to clear the ground for a replacement, a lawn or a new landscape.
- 05
Tree Planting
A tree is a hundred-year decision. Plant the right species in the right place now, and look after it while it finds its feet.
- 06
Emergency Tree Works
An emergency call-out service across Bristol and the surrounding counties — storm damage cleared and made safe, fast.

We read the whole tree.
A tree surgeon with a chainsaw is one thing. A practice that understands the tree from root plate to crown tip is another. Every job starts with the same question: what is this tree trying to do, and how do we work with it?
- 01
Crown reduction
Remove outer branches to reduce overall size while keeping the natural shape — typically up to 30% of canopy volume, target-pruned so the tree heals cleanly.
- 02
Crown thinning
Take out crossing and rubbing branches to let light and air through the canopy, reducing the risk of failure and disease.
- 03
Deadwood & habitat
Deadwood removed where it threatens people or property — but left in place where safe, because standing deadwood is prime habitat.
- 04
Sectional dismantle
A problem tree taken down piece by piece in a tight space — roped, rigged and lowered under control, nothing dropped blind.
- 05
Weight reduction
A long, heavy or wounded limb relieved of its sail, so it's far less likely to tear out — and veteran trees stand for longer.
- 06
Root plate
We read the base first. A sound root plate and stem are what make the rest of the work safe to attempt — and the reason a tree is worth keeping.
Properly qualified, properly insured, properly local.
Anyone can buy a chainsaw. The difference is in the paper and the practice. Here's ours, in full.
